Well what happened is he fired his long-time manager/agent/etc (this older lady) and hired his sister(?!?!)........after that his first appearance was Oprah and the rest is history.

I blame the sister.
His movies are great however, with Vanilla Sky being one of my favorite all time classics. Samurai, Minority, WotW, and Collat. were all great much in part to his screen presence and overall acting range. As far as I'm concerned, he's on the biggest string of grade A hits I've ever seen from a leading man. As long as the wacko Scientology doesn't creep it's way into his career choices (Travolta-Battlefield Earth style) then I'll keep watching his movies.
On a side note, the "buzz" is that MI3 is really, really good and the best of the MI's (not saying much there though). I might drag my lazy ass to a theater..........
