BLD had pissed me off with his saying that the only reason to use vinyl was an ego thing, and that coloured my perception of his subsequent posts, some of which may have been good-natured ribbing that I missed. Then people chiming in this thread to "laugh at the tool fans," was pretty lame, and increased my irritation, because our irritation was pretty much wholly justified, and laughing AT someone who's pissed off and has a legitimate reason to be is a poor thing to do, and not something many of you would likely do in real life, at least not as overtly/in the same tone. Not a good way to deal with people.
However, neither was anything I did.
So, BLD, Stimp, Dubman, I'm sorry. And, dubman, I regret saying you're an idiot because I can't actually recall what made me think so. I certainly think you came accross as one in this thread, but, I did too, so I don't think you're an idiot.

well, to fess up to it, i remember some particular instances of discussion in that area that resulted in some less intelligent remarks.
but there's something important about that.
i had a whole thing typed up on the bus and here you go being all reasonable and shit...
all i'll say then is:
you gave me the worst comeback since “let’s see you make a better album,” I was reacting to that and your entire attitude in this thread that smacked not only of judging others character based on music preference, but also in regards to
Tool, in which you took a dumb reply and blew it up to unreasonable proportions.

Side note: also because I say lots of super belligerent things on forums because, um, none of it matters. I realize that the pretense of objectivity while making outrageous claims are going to make people remember it for a few years, but just so long as you know that I think this is funny (even if you don’t), I’m ok with that.
