Re: Can - Tago Mago
Yes! Can is my favorite band, and Tago Mago I believe is their best release, and one of my favorite discs ever. I love the way they were able to take a simple concept...their songs are mostly just jamming over a groove...but they turn it into a living, breating thing. That whole band is frighteningly talented...I even really like Suzuki because of this CD..."Peking 0" was always one of my favorite tracks...it's hilarious!

Have you got the two follow ups? (Ege Bamyasi and Future Days) Because they're nearly as good, and I'd give five stars to all three. There's a quality to these releases that transcends time...for someone who's never heard of the band it would be very tough to put an actual date on this. That's true of a lot of those German bands...I remember playing the track "Krautrock" by Faust in my car and my friend really liked it...I asked him to put a year on it and he said 1999...26 years late!
