took delivery of "dj yoda goes to the movies" today (a promo dvd of him scratching on his pioneer dvj - promo cos i dont think any of the samples have been cleared for release - available off his website

a live band who do a similar thing is the eclectic method - on their
website you can download a few live mixes. i've just finished watching the "live at dirty disco - leeds" set and its mind-blowing.
in essence all they are doing is mixing an accapella set (synced up to the corresponding music videos) over the top of a normal club set - but the effect is really cool and quite inspiring
go check it out - the last time i felt this good about a mashup set is when i heard the avalanches dj sets
