I'll tell you the rarest record I
used to have, and my brother in NZ now has it, (but that is a long, bitter story that I won't go into here. And I love him really.

)
Hendrix - Electric Ladyland. The album with
the cover that was subsequently banned (
that's the one - scroll down).
Rare as rocking horse shit on vinyl. Never played it. Mint. And probably worth a mint now too.
Oh well.
Must. Not. Attach. Myself. To. Material. Things.
Edit: I used to own a lot of rare vinyl as a teenager, cos I was extremely spoilt and had a bf in the record business. So rare stuff, since "disappeared" (prolly in NZ as well

) included Substitute by The Who, the first 12" Single of its era, which came in a Polydor red single bag only 12" big like the old singles ones, Miss You by the Stones on pink vinyl 12", Wonderous Stories by Yes, limited edition 2,500 12" blue vinyl, the inevitable Tubular Bells on picture disc, Sticky Fingers by the Stones with the zip cover, etc. etc. etc. etc.
Ho hum
