Phonica, Poland St (next to NCP car park)
Black Market, D'Arblay St
Uptown, D'Arblay St
Selectadisc, Berwick St
Reckless, Berwick St (two branches a few doors from each other)
Music & Video Exchange, Berwick St
Vinyl Junkies, Berwick St
Sounds of the Universe (Soul Jazz), Broadwick Street
Scenario, Ingestre Place
If Music, (end of Berwick, can't remember name of st)
Smallfish - 39 Old Street EC1V9LE
There's also Soul & Dance Exchange in Notting Hill
Honest jon's on Portobello Road
Rough Trade, (er, can't remember, but it's on the way to Honest Jon's)
Intoxica on Portobello Road (these four are quite near to each other, though Intoxica has some comically overpriced stuff)
Phonica – 51 Poland Street W1 / Know How Records – 3 Buck Street NW1 / Vinyl Addiction – 6 Inverness Street NW1
There's the old favourite Vinyl Addiction, but there's some good newer ones as well - especially Phonica in Soho and Know How Records in Camden. Phonica is nice inside, they've even got a space for the DJ friends to hang while the DJs get their hit. Phonica is also easy to get to in the West End whereas both Vinyl Addiction and Know How are in Camden, which is kind of annoying to get to for me. But if you're looking for the right vinyl, going to Camden is worth the trek. All are essential for finding that rare

sadly, selectadisc is no more - at least not in name - stoopidly, i can't remember the new name - it's the name of another store further down berwick st, who look like just to have bought it out and changed nothing
