So far this year, i'm a big fan of:

Fischerspooner - Odyssey: very solid album, lots of great hooks, and generally more danceable and less abrasive than #1
Coldplay - X&Y: Say what you will about 'em, this album is a grower, and musically more moving than most pop-rock out there.
Vitalic - OK Cowboy: Pure fun!

a disappointment (sorry if i offend...)
LCD Soundsystem: i didn't think this was anything i hadn't heard on other electro-clash releases. Sure, "Daft punk is playing..." is fun, and it's an enjoyable listen, but none too varied or worth the hype, imo. Sorry!
m83- before the dawn... this is heavier, more noise driven and unnerving than the beautiful analog debut. He's lost a partner and half the magic.
but that's about all i have that's from 2005
