i believe i said, "whats
to be overrated about?" in order for something to be overrated it needs to be hailed as a great movie in the first place, no? this movie received awful reviews and was panned by critics across the boards. i dont think anyone here said it was a great movie and im certainly not jumping to its defense as an underrated science fiction masterpiece. its a movie that never tried to be serious.
other than that, i WILL give it proper dues in that i cant think of a single sci-fi movie that has the same
feel that 5th Element has. Don't ask me to describe that because i just spent 2 minutes trying to and all i came up with is
feel.
aw fuckit, its just a fun movie to watch. certainly not overrated or underrated because it was never rated to begin with. that movie was so off everyone's radar, even when it was in theaters.
i do however, feel that the editting is underrated. hats off to the editor/story-boarder.
