I don't think the accordian sound is all that bad, what I'd try to do is maybe play around with the automation a little bit, like every now and then morph the mod wheel around and see where that gets you. This is a very glitz house kinda track and you should have a little bit of excess for your excess, if that makes any sense. The beat is pretty bangin though, I think you're on the right track.

P.S. - put a reverb on that accordian thing, it's too dry. Don't saturate it but give it just enough to help give it air. You don't have 2.5? Well you need it, the rv7000 unit totally smashes the reverb unit from r1 and 2 to bits.
