i read an interview with kevin shields around the time he contributed to the lost in translation soundtrack in which he said he destroyed the master tapes from those sessions as he wasn't happy because the sounds on tape weren't matching the sounds he could hear in his head (theres a surprise ) Although he did say he remembers 5 songs being good enough and he'll re-record them when he gets around to making a new album, which won't be an mbv album, because mbv are in the past

he need not worry, loveless still sounds ahead of its time nearly 15 years after it was released
