very much in the same vein is "the thick of it" series 2 starts today on bbc4 - same style as the office, but set in westminster, concerntrating on a hapless minister and devious spin doctors.

chris langham (the minister) is the master of dead-pan stupidity - he was class in "people like us" and carries it on here.
