series 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Underworld: Rez
[1993] single
12": 1993 UK (Junior Boy's Own; COLLECT 002)
1 9:55 Rez
2 8:20 Why? Why? Why?
Add this:
-----------------------
+ 3 12:14 Why? Why? Why? (Extended)
i'm going to skip cowgirl, because that will come later.
although there's pretty generic artwork.
the one of rez/why why why comes in a nice pinkish colored vinyl.
(lots of bootlegs out there though).
=========================
track 1 - rez is a classic, no doubt about that.
it's still heard today, and still be remixed, and is instantly recognizable,
and a hallmark at nearly every concert they ever played. they also
mix into cowgirl.
track 2 - why why why is a mystery, seriously.
excellent electro-tech, dark, moody, literally. where did it come from?
the title asks the question 3 times. one of their best tracks, especially
in it's 12 minute form. there are 5 and 8 minute versions on other
compilations.
a beautiful song. shame though, i don't think they ever played it live.
overall:
===============
effort : A
execution: A
not much about the cover art here.
rez, would be associate with the cowgirl single,
and that era. but why why why still remains hidden.
although the 3cd deluxe anthology brought it back out.
it was previously on some japanese re-releases of
dubnobasswithmyheadman as the the only digital source
for it.
