thoughts abound with ...

: How about good quotes from people on the list? Mmmm...like :
: "we're not trying to establish world peace!!"
: "where the hell is my mail goin?"
: "you're a fucking fruitcake!"
: Well, maybe those weren't so good but you get the idea.

absolutely scott, like:

a h m g o a n a y
stoap listenin tae

noo t h u r in the
* * C H A R T S * *

in a discrete point size
- over to design co sartre sartre and expaninaro for advice -
in a nice fluorescent pink (or green) on plain black
with tiny

"a duncan pike swims with the fishes creation (c. 1996)"

running underneath.
cool tomatimage or 0 on the back
- don't really care that much.
without text,
or "don't stab me in"
if the wordsmiths have to have their wicked way.

roman <uesper00@mcl.ucsb.edu> ...

: "puppies"? is it worth the trouble?

well, not really.
sounds like s l o w e d d o w n d a vid b o w e
a la larfinggnome. which is okay
if ye dinnae wanna danz.
but 'tin there' is definitely danz.
t'other p.g. reissue is worth it for 'cherry pie' alone
(or am i in a muddle here?).

for those who don't know it the

cantrememberthenameofthispiratedfromuwleedsconcert .au

i still have somewheres on my site is well worth a listen
by you lucky wired-for-sound dirtmaggers.
not so good quality cos of the size but taste the speed.
after listening to 'confusion the waitress'
on same i think i might just
jolly-roger the bbc a little bit more cos it's magic.

"bright waters, saltwater" <standard.@mail.iri.su.se> ...

you're a wee bit blurred:
'vorsprung durch technik' predates 'wank-poppers' by a few years
they got it from the telly, lee. audi or bmw (memoverflow)

hi martin t.
noiz to ave yer back. like
'underworld is the opium of the people'
sort of Karl-sound or what?

hi to joe-blow@ic.ac.uk...
do you know my brother ron?

thouroughly recommended:
glenn underground - 'c.u.o. trance' (peacefrog)
(haha! ribbit... woops duncan)
for funktastic jazzzz 'supermarket' musik.

this coming in from joeblow@ic.ac.uk...says ronnies doing dandyfine, gave
up law a long time ago...moved onto the london stock exchange until he
looked out upon the floor and rather than see a bunch of wankers on suits
saw a bunch of e-ingesting laddies and lassies and said well im
ron@ic.ac.uk and hey i listen to flock of seagulls, violators a great
album...wearing dirtylist tshirts that arent tshirts (theyre so
unfashionable, shaggy duds) that proudly bear the phrase 'vorsprung durch
technik' in a font reminiscent of something that might read in
collaboration with francoise hardy. the universal or something i do not
know. hit it tomato.

because i) paninaro is synonymous to preppy in northern italy.
actually it comes from the panini sandwiches refering to rich
spoilt kids who hung around panini bars with nothing better
to do, until they started studying at Bocconi or wherever. I think
i-D used to do articles on that... when Milan was big and happening.
AND ii) the pet shop boys (and couple of italo-disco club anthems)
penned a tune named paninaro 7-8 years ago.

Two things to say to Monkey Boy (or whatever his name is):

1. Don't say "not to be anal", when it's as clear as the sweat droplets on
my fevered brow that you are

2. Keep it up fella! Winding up dirtylisters is as easy as shooting monkeys
in a monkey barrel, but enjoyable for all that.

Two things to say to everyone:

1. Go and buy Daft Punk's Homework as soon as you can. It's the monkey's
nuts (easy big fella...)

2. Merry Christmas, you mad muthas

Martin

Sorry about the delay in replying to your Daft Punk question Duncan - I have
only just recovered from a truly horrible Christmas party at Planet
Hollywood, which sapped my spirit so effectively that I swear I saw Delilah
outside singing 'Why Why Why, Sylvester' (da da da da da da da da *da*).
Anyway, I'm better again now, having listened to the first volume of Trade
at no: 11 all the way in on the bus this morning (second disc, natch).
Purism be damned, this is the way to banish the corporate demons after such
a horrid experience. Smile back on face, spring back in step, sauce back in
bottle.

What was I talking about? Oh yeah, Daft Punk. Well, I was a bit jammy there,
cos I stumbled across it at Sister Ray. They had 15 early vinyl copies and I
just happened to walk past the shop when they had one left - no more than
five hours after they'd got this secret batch. They were playing it at the
time too, so I was even luckier. There is good news here and bad news. The
good news is that I can assure you it's worth the wait. It's flipping
gorgeous! The bad news is that you still won't be able to get your hands on
it until January 20 (could be worse though - they were talking about a March
release only a couple of weeks ago).

Sorry to hear you're off - for a while at least. We didn't quite manage
world peace, but dirtylist has got a lot more entertaining of late, and
(pains me though it does to say this) you're one of the reasons why.

Good luck

Martin
