I was accepted into the Glasgow School of Art. I'm here to get my MFA in Fine Art. It seems like it's a very "professional" program... as in - they want you to succeed as an artist... and not as a
teacher *, like some of the other schools I was accepted into.
As soon as I got my acceptance, I was pretty much "well - I
have to go there" as I'll probably never have this chance again!
It's a two-year program, but I'll probably be here for ~3 years. I say three years b/c my girlfriend (who's also a artist/printmaker) is going to apply in order to attend the school next fall (she's taking the year off).
Over the past two days I've seen like... ten different apartments - and I'm burnt out. Although I've narrowed it down to two places I saw today - and another I saw photo's of (but won't see in person till Monday).
* not that being a teacher (or professor) is bad... Just the idea of being a TA for a year in a three year program, not doing my own work - didn't really appeal to me as much
