Last time I checked, offside is called when a player in offside position is
willing to play the ball, and that was exactly what the first Paraguay attacker did. He couldn't hit the ball but the second striker could, and he was in legal position indeed, but game was halted by then. I can't honestly see the controversy.
Paraguay's penalty tho, looks like one of our players stepped into the box too soon in the shooting and should have been repeated too. They could complain about that, but it's not time to be splitting hairs, is it? Their keeper should've been sent off and Spain should've shot their 3rd penalty in minute and a half....
Regarding the not so beautiful display from Spain so far, I guess it's not easy when literally every team they've played against plays basically with two lines of 4 defenders. I'm really looking forward the game against Germany because they like to play in the rival's field and that will definitely benefit Spain's style. I'm all for a 4-3 instead of a 1-0.
