I've just returned from a beautiful Tinariwen concert at
Fabrik/Hamburg. Those Touareg warriors truely occupy the stage, and the venue, and capture the audience, with their powerful music, careful smiles, rhythmic dancing, and underlying strength.
I first heard Tinariwen some time back on the 2005-02-10 Lemonworld broadcast. Thank you, Karl, for giving me an understanding of world music in general, and introducing Tinariwen music to me in particular!
