Re: Michael Jackson was a child-molester - non-mourning thread...
The way that it seems to be with MJ is that some were upset about settling in lieu of going to trial, and others found something to dislike MJ over because of the trials. There are people on both sides, and both sides have a legitimate claim to their feelings. If I'm mega-famous and someone levels a very severe, very taboo claim against me then as it pertains to me, I will fight those accusations until the day I die. I wouldn't pay money to try and make those claims go away because let's be real here, those accusations never really do go away, and it makes me an easy target for extortion or blackmail.

However, he was acquitted on the charges that he didn't settle on, which included the "victim" declining to take the stand eventually. As well, what kind of sick parent takes a payout instead of seeking justice for their children? Is it possible that he molested children? Yup. It is possible that he never had any kind of ill intentions at all and was just taken advantage of? Absolutely.

There's no imperical evidence to substantiate the title of this thread, just a whole bunch of gut feelings that could either be right or be wrong. Me personally, I have a feeling that at one point he was up to no good, but that's only because the idea of settling doesn't make sense to me. Then again however I already know what the results will be -- people will get suspicious if I settle and it's not going to stop the scum of the earth from trying to make an easy buck off of my work. I learned this from watching MJ.
