I agree with jose m too.
U2 at the beginning had a sort-of innocent passion. One review I recall around the time of "October" described them as "peter pan-ish".
Good to see the comsat angels name-checked in jose m's post - their track "Independance Day" is simply spine tingling, with a fabulous, other-wordly guitar sound
