There'll probably be an upswing after work at the end of the day. I know that's when I'll be going. But in a meeting I had this morning with 6 other people, I think three voted early. So maybe a big chunk has already voted.
Aside from that, I saw a polling place just down the street from work that had a pretty long line, and as the polls opened by my house there was a long line too. The line was gone a couple hours later though. We'll see, but I sure hope everyone's voting.
EDIT - Okay, here we go. The L.A. Times is reporting
voters already turning out in record numbers. By noon, 38.1% of L.A. County registered voters had already cast their ballots compared to 33.4% in 2004. That doesn't sound huge, but considering that there are 4.3 million registered voters here, that means an extra 202,100 people.
