WHAT? Who brought Joe up in the debate? I bet Joe didn't ask McCain to talk about him on national television. Obama wasn't attacking Joe; reporters went to his house and dug up dirt on him, not Obama. Seriously. WTF is McCain smoking and where can I get some?

It's sad that reality doesn't seem to matter. The McCain campaign tactic has been to say whatever they want and then repeat it enough times that the news reports what he says over and over again until maybe some voters start to believe it. That's what all of these guilt by association strategies have been about. It doesn't matter that every person in the world has probably worked with people who've done shady things - hell, Palin is married to a guy who was a member of a secessionist group. But McCain's camp is the one pounding the idea home - "Ayers, Ayers, Ayers, Ayers, Ayers, Ayers, Ayers". And even though McCain says Wright is off limits, Palin keeps
mentioning that Wright is off limits, thereby reminding voters of Wright. Joe the plumber will be the same thing. And so will Acorn.
