Re: The Misterons Rowla/Cherry Jam

I heard a rumor that the album was meant to end on Please Help Me at one point, but it was replaced by Moaner since it was a single?

Re: The Misterons Rowla/Cherry Jam

Always confused by the entry in their Wikipedia page on disagreement over tracks during the Beaucoup Fish era:

"a large number of mixes of the album tracks seemed to surface on singles, magazine...

Re: Prague 13.7.2005

Phenomenal part of the set! Peach Tree > 5f5 sounds great, I've never heard Dark and Long / Shake that Higher integrated that well together, and I've never heard that outro of Dark and Long either....

Re: 1998 Rehearsal Romford release!

You could have called that the greatest live show they've ever performed and I wouldn't argue against you.

Re: Drift, Episode 1 - Dust EP

The "A side" is possibly the hardest and rawest set of material they've ever released - 020202 with Barbara Barbara DNA. Smashing and flows outstandingly well.

Then there's the ambient back half -...

Re: Unwarping Underworld Vocals

Have always loved this. It's a quiet response / challenge to flesh out the final lyric: "You say you love her - do you?"

Re: New Chemical Brothers coming soon...

Their show in Lisbon was live streamed and it sounds great. No encore, but the full festival set. I can't seem to find the video of it anywhere online (I've got a copy on my drive at home), here's...

Re: 2017 THREAD Orbital are back! Whatever happens will happen again!

I agree with this assessment so much. They've modernized in percussion and song structure - away from the loops and away from longer progressive song structures (which I miss) but have adopted...

Re: [underworld_remixes] -> _retrospective_commentary_

Was this sarcasm? I can think of only two recorded shows they played it, and they were both (extended) interludes during the 1998 early Beaucoup Fish tours.

Besides "Dirty Club" of course.

Re: Underworld & Iggy Pop - Teatime Dub Encounters (New EP: releases July 27th, 2018)

Nearly any other guest vocalist would have been just fine here... Iggy's out of touch improvisations are at best catchy. I think it works on Bells and Circles. The rest I don't know why I'd listen to...

Re: Underworld & Iggy Pop - Teatime Dub Encounters (New EP: releases July 27th, 2018)

And for good reason, the criticism is leveled at Iggy.

He's just not bringing much of anything good or relevant to the table on this release. He lets the music down tremendously.

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

long tracks and the improvisations, I think they were a
reflection of the chemical reality that a lot of people were
living in. Our...

Re: 2018-07-14 Mad Cool Festival - Madrid, Spain

Jumbo should be the closer, tacked on to the existing set. It's criminal it's not being included.

Re: Underworld & Iggy Pop - Tea Time Dub Encounters (New EP: releases July 27th, 2018

Remember, in 1996/1997 Underworld collaborated extensively with U2, and none of those recordings were ever released (aside from the arguable Moaner Was A Remix of Mofo theory).

Had those...

Re: 2017 THREAD Orbital are back! Whatever happens will happen again!

Good rip, but you've accidentally cut Tiny Foldable Cities out - end of Wonky had technical difficulties going into TFC, and on this recording it crossfades into Satan.
