Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Lol - "dynamic crowd movement" - does that mean people going to the back for another beer halfway through the show or the airhead drunk women who like to "be free spirits" in their dancing, taking up...

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Was wondering about the cameras (they came by us multiple times) as some were the fancy ones that rotate on an axis to hold the shot stable (a steadycam then I guess) and there were more than the...

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Wow - that was a doozy of a show!

I was up on the rail just about in front of Karl and they seemed really up for it. Loved the setlist tweaks compared to last year - no sag in the middle but still...

Oh man this is like waiting for Christmas to come. So stoked for tomorrow.

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Thought I would check in to see if there was any update as to what this was going to be - happy to see it could very well be improv heavy, or at least a very interesting experience outside a normal...

Any...

Re: I Am Dogboy: The Underworld Diaries

Yeah, I think we can look into that tonight. After the second show was added I wasn't real sure I wanted to deal with a Halloween crowd, but this Karl signing makes a switch much more attractive.

Re: I Am Dogboy: The Underworld Diaries

Is anyone going to the Rough Trade East signing? I want to go but have tickets for John Carpenter the same night (booked last December!). The Facebook notification today indicated 6 pm start time at...

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Hey Folks,

I was "in town" today and noticed adverts for this gig on the eastbound Central line from Bond St and north and southbound Jubilee between (at least) all stations between Bond St and...

Re: 2017-03-17 Alexandra Palace

Yep - we are booked too. Hoping this is a bit more free form, but happy all the same! :)

BTW - why does Underworld always play London shows seemingly in March?

Re: Underworld... live?

I find synth music to be very "visual" and find it disappointing that a band with an actual visual past/identity/agency doesn't actually use visuals, especially in this age of processing capability...

Re: Underworld... live?

Definitely to the above. Just watched the Glasto set - there were numerous points where songs could be mixed into new directions, or a variation in the beat speed could take the crowd up even higher....

Re: 2016-06-24 Glastonbury Festival

We turned on the Glasto coverage waiting for the next Euro games and I swear Jeff Lynne has made better use of his backing screens than UW has lately. (Totally having an AM Gold flashback to my youth...

Re: 2016-06-24 Glastonbury Festival

Ah good, this saves me the work of finding the information myself :P Shall be tuning in!

I saw Roisin before the guys last year in Berlin and I have to say I found her act rather tiring after 15...

Re: Underworld... live?

Not a new fan but new to being able to actually see them live and I have to say that by the third show of Barbara for me I was wondering what had been driving all the hype from the past. A buddy had...

Re: 2016-04-27 Samsung Developer Conference - San Francisco, CA

It sure seems like they have been in the US for a long time - what, almost three weeks? Two weekends ago I was out rural Essex way for weekend athletic activity up on a hill and, looking down on...

Re: 2016-04-01 Club 69 / radioshow Belgium

Re: 2016-04-01 Club 69 / radioshow Belgium

As Karl has shown, you can never have too many Breton tops. I thought maybe these were all from Uniqlo or another big, anonymous chain like Muji, but can't seem to find the exact shirt (long sleeved,...

Re: 2016-04-01 Club 69 / radioshow Belgium
