the new Orb album is really nice. its not a throwback exactly but def sounds way more in the spirit of 90's Orb than pretty much anything they've done since.

Do Breakers Trip sounds a lot like something Karl would've done during that brief solo phase when he was working with Brian Eno. you can practically hear his voice on the track

one thing I noticed about that track is that it totally fits into the atmosphere of AHDO - a lot of the same sounds from say "Ess Gee" & "Ballet Lane" appear. not to mention the track somewhat...

I have no clue why certain tracks weren't part of the weekly Drift releases but I did notice that a lot of 'em seem to be Karl freestyling over some loop which maybe explains why they didn't think...

Me too, I listen to this disc by disc, not all at once. (same with Autechre's latest, though lol @ even those being 2 hours apiece)
I do think they're getting away from the album 'format'...

always thought the intention was to repackage it for the deluxe edition of either AHDO or (more likely) OWB. perhaps they want to spend some time to remaster them? because they still do sound like...
