Re: There will be blood - trailer (teaser)

Re: New Blade Runner DVD

I never thought I would see myself reaching this point but after spending about six and a half hours watching Dangerous Days, a whole lot of the special featurettes, the Work Print, and some of...

Re: There will be blood - trailer (teaser)

I went to a midnight showing of the film last night as Portland was one of the 29 cities in the States showing the film.

WOW.

That was a pretty incredible film. There is so much I want to say...

Re: Film of the year?

There will be blood now sits atop my list of the best films released in 2007 and for that matter the past couple years. I feel it's stronger and more important than No Country or anything else this...

Re: New Blade Runner DVD

The workprint is the first thing I think I will watch on Christmas day when I get the box set.

I can't wait to see it again. Also on the fifth disc is a feature on the various versions of the...

Re: New Blade Runner DVD

The Final Cut feels and looks like the Director's Cut, just incredibly clean and tight. All the adjustments and tweaks are very subtle and minor and do not draw attention to themselves like a lot of...

Re: the Dark Knight

Anyone see the IMAX presentation of the Dark Knight Prologue prior to screenings of I am Legend in IMAX?

It was pretty damn impressive and better than the actual feature it preceeded.

Re: 2007 End of Year Praise and Thanks to Underworld and the entire crew

Agree with the sentiments expressed above. A wonderful year indeed to be a fan of underworld. New album, radio sets, live shows galore, releases, and underworld socks too.

I love the new...

Some of the good ones I've enjoyed this year have been the following:

Zodiac
Control
King of Kong
The Wind that Shakes the Barley

No...

Re: Film of the year?

I know it's coming out in NY/LA on 12.26. From there, it's the standard staggered release date structure. It's not hitting Portland until January 11th, and I think we're 2nd/3rd week roll out which...

Re: Film of the year?

I dunno, There Will Be Blood hasn't hit the public proper yet. A close friend saw it last week and was pretty impressed by the film, more so than No Country.

Nice!

I second that though in regards to the Misterons session occurring that day too.

Re: Control

The film finally peaks it's head into the Northwest of the States.

It's a solid portrait of a band and specifically an artist in movement and growth and ultimately demise.

Not to conradict...

Re: Southland Tales

From what I gather, the comic book prequels act as a laxative streamlining the experience. I found a digital copy and have begun reading, but haven't progressed very far.

This was quite a fun time. I just got home from a double feature of this film and No Country for Old Men. Beowulf was the perfect dessert to the fine main course meal that No Country was.

Re: Live Broadcast 13-11-07 (Tokyo Oblivion Ball Special)

It usual takes a short few hours after the show's broadcast for it to appear on RTSR. These seems to be the status quo. I hadn't checked over there yet today at work but I got it now.
