R.E.M. Accelerate
Anyone got this?
I'm not really all that familiar with R.E.M. although of course they are/were a huge name so I've heard their stuff on the radio and also have one of the old cd's (Out of Time) Still this was on sale and I remembered reading it was something of a "comeback" record so picked it up. Actually I find it quite enjoyable. It's more straight rock than Out of Time with more emphasis on simple song structures and distorted guitars but there's a couple of really nice songs on this. My favourites being Supernatural Superserious and Mr Richards. If there's any real R.E.M. fans here, what's your favourite album? |

for me, old, and the only good, R.E.M. are the IRS Records releases Murmur, Reckoning, Fables of the Recxonstruction, Lifes Rich Pageant, and Document Of these, LRP is a my favorite |
Re: R.E.M. Accelerate
New Adventures In Hi-Fi, from 1996, their last album with the original drummer, is imho an amazingly underrated record. I usually only like (not love) their stuff, but that disc is in my top 10 of all time.
I really dig Accelerate, too. |
