new mix I did this morning, thanks to my suddenly free afternoon

It's pretty damn hard and fast...

and features a few live edits and random stuff...

I'll post up a tracklisting later, if anyone's interested; but highlights include: Boys Noize, Rage Against the Machine, D.I.M. , the Presets, Goose, and Crystal Castles

all done in one take, and I'd say spot-on when it comes to beatmatching*
and yea... some tracks sort of slam into the next (intentionally)

...although, I probably should have gone back and cleaned up some of the audio levels here and there (there's no clipping [distortion f/ too high of a gain] in the audio, but some parts come pretty close) - so I might clean this up, and repost ... I haven't had a chance to relisten to this yet..

oh, and the 'album cover' is cropped from the cover of the book of prints that I'm making this summer

*sorry, I copied + pasted the above f/ my facebook note, and this was meant to be somewhat of a dig at a friend of a friend, who seems to ONLY like Tiesto and other cheesy trance bullshit... who "didn't get" how I mixed

...b/c I don't play seven solid minutes of an eight minute song while waiving my hands in the air, wearing a glitter t-shirt

Agreed. I'm interested to hear your mix, but i like to cheat a little and see what's to come and ID tracks that touch a nerve.

Will also be cool if you share your book of prints with dirty craft/process when you're done!

Hey Joethelion,

Finally getting around to listening to this mix. Sorry for the delay! i meant to earlier...had a few realllly slow DL sessions that i got frustrated with and closed. But it's finally here on the desktop and in the headphones.
Indeed, it is noisy as f, but in a mostly good way! What would you call this genre, "electroclash"? Dance rock? I usually enjoy it in a smaller dose by the likes of LCD SS, the Rapture, Rinocerose, but there's a lot of heavy hooks in your mix that kept me really grooving! Well done, sir!

hey - sorry it took me a while to respond...

you know - I have no idea how you'd classify this mix - genre wise...
I mean, there are some definite "electro" bits, but then - there's also some very rock & breaks parts as well...

I just like how it sort of alternates back and forth in styles..
