Let's see...culture that glamorizes guns, material excess, debauchery, and hatred of their peers. An MTV-related event is the perfect place for this to happen, and screw it, why not make that a selling point for attendees in the future:

"Tonight: D12's crew is going to shoot someone! Come find out who gets popped!"
