dude... there are certainly an ample number of remixes!

someone else (not too long ago) did a full mixset of nothing by versions of "Burn My Shadow"

Yeah I threw quite a few of those tracks into a mix I did late last year. Lots of good variations in that remix collection.

Because the albums have a lot of crap on them. The first one is most consistent though.

well why don't you just listen to the good songs?

or, radical idea, take the good songs and mix them with songs from different artists...?

True, true. But i think this is a call for a Tribute mix, along the lines of the recent mixes in craft by negative1 and myself, mixing tracks/remixes of Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Fluke, Moby, and several Underworld tribute mixes that have appeared here. There are 875 million mixes of various artists, but far fewer tribute mixes to a single artist.

Why not just listen to the "good songs" from the albums? Cos a well-made mix is (imho) seamless, features tracks that may have been overlooked alongside the hits, and features the elusive "third record" where Song A + Song B = Brand New Song C. Artists with a large canon of tracks offer almost unlimited opportunities to make mixes of various styles (e.g. melodic transitions, uptempo, downtempo, remixed versions, rarities, live cuts, etc).

Re: Who's up for mixing....UNKLE?

i haven't really gotten into unkle..
however this reminds me of the box set from underworld
with most of the 'beaucoup fish' mixes released..

i'm actually a lot more interested in SLAM, as i just
got the alien radio, and alien radio remixed cds..and
am getting all the 12"s to go along with them..

i'm highly biased as you all know, but paul daley's remix of alien radio is great.
