Re: Scratch

i saw this a few years' back in a theater at my college. It was very informative and personal, showing the tremendous skill and dedication to practicing that the best turtablists employ. Lots of artists were featured, by DJs Q-Bert and Shadow as well as Mixmaster Mike seemed to get a lot of attention.

Re: Scratch

The DVD has a bonus disc with Qbert explaining how to fix a leaky pipe. This overshadows the actual film!

what blows me away, is the collection of vinyl some of them doods have.
like buddies basement...stacks and stacks of records. piled up 6 feet high...TONS.
makes Fatboy Slims album cover look like a joke.

Absolutely! The record shop where DJ Shadow rummages around was amazing! And Shadow's very humble about it...he talks about how all those discarded records were the hopes and dreams of the artists who made them, and he'll perhaps be discarded the same way someday...he's got good perspective, and certainly good taste in tunes!
