It's been available for a while now ahead of it's official release at the end of January but I'll be fucking surprised if this isn't one of the best tracks of 2008. I am super fucking excited for the Wolverhampton gig in Feb.

the new albums leaked and i'm loving it so far although i was expecting it to be a bit more upbeat as i saw them at the hay-on-wye literary festival back in may where they played loads of stuff off the new album that was incredibly dancey - but i suppose they probably make everything a bit more upbeat when they play live as even boy from school was a lot more upbeat than usual

i'm sure you'll love the show steve as they do lots of jams/improvs etc. over & over was fucking awesome :cool:

The problem I have with Hot Chip is that there is this undercurrent of goofiness in what they do - just to be clear, in my world there's a huge difference between fun and goofy, wheras the former is geniunely fun and the latter is annoying. I'm not sure it's a deliberate thing - it's just something I hear in their music. They seemed to have toned it down a bit for the last album but this new single has the goofy back in full force.

This track is a bit too much cheese for me. After the promising single that was Over & Over, I was kinda let down with the album. I am going to give that and the coming album a second chance though.

it's well worth checking out - the first hour was done by vocalists joe & alexis plus guitarist owen and is quite housey and the second hour by percussionists/drum programmers felix & al and so and gets more technoey and features mainly instrumental tracks...
