Beowulf is a must see in 3-D!!!!
If your theater supports it, run, don't walk to the box office and buy a ticket to this KICK ASS 3-D movie!:cool:
I can't believe how amazing this film looks. Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D Still in shock at how well the 3-D works....bodies flipping out of the screen past you and blood splashing and dripping down on the cameras. Insanity! ***Minor Spoiler*** There's a battle with a dragon that is the best in all of cinema, it will make your eyeballs pop out with joy.;) |
Re: Beowulf is a must see in 3-D!!!!
I had intended to see this today, but it wasn't showing at the cinema closest to me.
I give equal of your praise to The Magorium Emporiem(sp?) film. I felt like I was a kid again.* I think I'll wait for a Beowulf I-MAX viewing during the Holidays. *Facts of Life (June 11, 1980 - #113) |

If you see it in 2-D you will still be entertained......but a lot of the scenes are set up specifically for the 3-D effects and you won't get the total punch. This was my first "digital 3-D" movie and I nearly shat myself when the title words flew over my shoulder from behind me! But yes, there is eye stabbing, heart ripping, limb severing, and head chomping galore so I don't really even see how this got a pg-13 rating, but believe me, they don't pussy out!;) Kick ass flick. |
Re: Beowulf is a must see in 3-D!!!!
This was quite a fun time. I just got home from a double feature of this film and No Country for Old Men. Beowulf was the perfect dessert to the fine main course meal that No Country was.
I was really surprised by how well the 3D worked. I didn't see it in IMAX 3D however, but just digital 3D. There are a lot of gimicky shots in the first thirty minutes or so that really are showing off the 3D effects, but there were a handful of times throughout the film where I found myself entirely immersed in the story visually. The story wasn't as bad as I was expecting and coming from Roger Avary and Neil Gaimen, I wasn't expecting anything bad, but I had my hesitations after those trailers for the film. |

This guy friend of mine said, "In 3D, it felt like you could almost touch them." I could only respond, "Hey, whatever gets you off guy". |

This shit is awful, models/actresses(our modern female ideal), now it is a new low, they are actually 100% plastic.
Looking at those boobies is like looking at the naked cinematics on God of War. Fuck this crap! |
