sndshare - free samples (and other audio goodness)
 

so, i make sounds for a living. unfortunately, most of the stuff i make i never use for anything that sees the light of day (i may make 30 sounds just to get 1 that the client likes). as such, i've got a ton of material just lying around.

i've decided to put this stuff up for people to use as they wish.

today i put up the first in this series, a small package (11 samples) of ambient soundscapes and bizzaro bits.

these are raw.. not compressed, eq'd, or otherwise mastered in any way (besides some light normalization where appropriate).. so don't complain to me that there's too much low end or the midrange lacks presence. these are samples - mangle them yourself - that's the point. :)

i hope to continue putting up little selections like this at a fairly regular pace - at the very least, i'll make it a weekly affair. so keep checking back :)

Yeah, i often have made loops that i didn't know what to do with. It's cool that you're passing on your creations for someone to get some musical mileage from.

holden - the ultimate goal is to make that a place where other people can contribute samples/loops/etc as well. is that something you'd be interested in?

Yeah, i'd be glad to contribute, though i warn you, most of my loops are painstakingly made on the lo-fi technology that is Fruity Loops 3 ,5 and 7. :p
