loads of birds? crocodile as the single...

Another mystery track name surfaces.. Japan only bonus track is "Loads of Birds".

The single (in Japan at least) is Crocodile (has that been mentioned already?)

Single 5th of sept, album 3rd of Oct.

- Matthew (the other one, not "no. 1")

(edit): My tip: Don't tell your other half that you want to go to Japan to "pick up loads of birds".

And according to this, the album drops on Oct. 3 for Japan, but Oct. 15 for the rest of the world

Also, Underworld has a nice artist section here:

I wonder what will appear under the Special section...

whats it with the Japanese - won't they buy any albums unless they have exclusive stuff on them?

ho hum, looks like i'll be importing the album... so much for not buying multiple issues of albums anymore!!!

still, either way, i can't wait...

thankfully i still have my Jlist iTunes Japan gift card!

btw, i hate Japan vs. The-Rest releases. i dont understand bonus tracks. why do certain countries even get bonus tracks in the first place? is there some sort of law about how many songs need to be on an album in Japan?

i hate globalism in how companies are the ones who get all the benefits (greater marketshare etc) but people(workers and consumers) are the ones who get screwed, by it being difficult to buy things from other countries, or by making products different for no reason so you want to import them instead, price wars, people not being able to follow work around as easily as the work can leave... etc

that being said... it won't be hard to download that one extra track for me, who doesn't want to spend 100 dollars importing a cd (40 for the cd and then another 40+ for shipping and stupid import duty and taxes and brokerage)

I think the reason why Japanese albums always have some significant bonus added is because it's actually more expensive for them to manufacture/produce domestic releases, than it would be to import them from another country

hence, why they need to add bonuses to albums

...that's at least what someone told me a while back - not sure how accurate it is

joe's right. it costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $30-40 to buy cds in japan, so considering japan wants the japanese to buy local, they have to toss in incentives like bonus tracks to stop them getting imports for $25.

i might end up buying two versions...

so since it costs more to buy a CD in Japan, they compensate with extra music? Wonder how that works with homes ;) (Bonus 2 bedrooms!)
