cow vs pearls girl
2 of my favourite underworld tracks.. both with the repeated ad infinitum vocal loops.
which do you prefer? i can't really decide, but i think i'd go with pearl's girl. |
Re: cow vs pearls girl
cowgirl for me. have seen this work magic on a few dancefloors + have done some of my most enjoyable driving/biking/walking while listening to it.

Re: cow vs pearls girl
both songs have very special places in my heart and mind.
tho id have to lean towards Pearls Girl...UW's 1st voyage towards a somewhat dnb'ish sound...i totally lose it anytime i hear this in a club...my gf just stands back and watches in awe as i dance like a man possessed.:p |

Pearls Girl for me - it just fires me up. The version on Everything Everything is like a ride on the space shuttle and the version they played @ the 2006 lemonworld broadcast with its sequenced drum/percussion-a-thon at the beginning just blew me across the room (fortunately, my headphone connection to my pc is quite long! ).

Cowgirl!
Such a climax for the dubno LP, building on the momentum of dirty Epic. I always get chills about halfway through, when there's a dropped beat during "this electric stream", then the synth and drums kick in full on: "and my tears interleave with the wires and energy and my machine this is my beautiful dream" While i'll agree that PG was a neat foray into D-n-B and was arguably a bigger hit, Cowgirl still seems fresh to me, whereas the latter seems a bit overplayed. |

Although Cowgirl was the first UW tune I ever heard and still has nice memories for me, Pearls Girl is and prolly always will be my favourite. My favourite memory of it is Cocoon last year. Amazing. |
Re: cow vs pearls girl
cowgirl - the long version without the dodgy 'macerena' intro.
