Underworld is completing my life
With the new album comming and the loads of concerts (thnx guys) I guess that 2007 is (again) the year for Underworld.
At least I have something to look out to for the rest of the year :D As Underworld is a part of my life for the last years (not a day passes by without me listing to them) , I would like to thank the people who "introduced" them to me. Without giving names (with the risk of forgetting someone ofcourse) I guess most of you know when you fall under this. I guess that this feeling (being Dirty and knowing all of you) and sharing the same "vibes" is completing my life. Ok, enough of the BS... to the point now. The cherry on the pie of my life would be.... me in a picture with Rick, Karl, Darren and you Dirts (chance this will happen.... minor):D |

Re: Underworld is completing my life
Funny how, the older I get, the more I appreciate the band. So many moments in my life have been punctuated with Underworld's music - some good, some bad. But, just like Pappie, there isn't a day goes by without me listening to at least one UW track. So they have kind of become the soundtrack to my life in a bizarre way.
I am looking forward to Wild in the Country - the last time I was at Knebworth was for Led Zeppelin in 1979, my first ever festival at the age of 17. This time will be quite different. :D The Roundhouse at Camden in October - historic music venue. Awesome. HMH and ILT in November - some great memories of 2005 (and some bitter-sweet). "It's all about the beats" Cocoon would be good - it was amazing last year - but I can't give up my job and my family to be a full-time Dirt, no matter how much it tempts me sometimes ;) Will be fab to get together with Beautiful Dirts in the Numb Zone again this year. BRING IT ON!! |
Re: Underworld is completing my life
I haven't listened to a lot of Underworld in the past year actually. Mostly the Dark & Long and Pearl's Girl EP's though. Sometimes I just have these fases where I'm addicted to Underworld, and sometimes I just don't listen to them at all.
But in October that will change. |
Re: Underworld is completing my life
I'm the same as Pappie and Beautiful Burnout - even if I dont listen to a track, a lyric or spoken bit drifts into my mind every day. This band is my life, I suppose. Sooo looking forward to Knebworth, and have ordered a ticket for the roundhouse, both never-before-visited venues
