It's great. Probably the best film I've seen all year. Don't expect any Fight Club or Panic Room-style gimmicks. It is however beautifully shot, edited and acted.. I loved every single minute of the way it all unfurled. It probably helped that I didn't know a great deal about the zodiac murders beforehand, but it's really good regardless.

More on zodiac can be found in this thread.

It's such a great film to watch in the cinema, proper. All told I saw the film four times and found it engrossing each time.

I really want to see Fincher's director's cut that was over three hours and see what more luxurious freedom he might have taken with certain threads of the story.

Probably a good idea. One of my friends has adopted this for most films these days, especially films by specific filmmakers like David Fincher, Paul Thomas Anderson, the Coen Brothers, Wong Kar-Wai, etc etc.

As much as I try to adhere to these standards of restraint, my better impulsiveness to catch just a glimpse of a new film I'm over eager to see overrides such restraint.

On a side note, check out the following link to the artwork for the German poster. I think I might have to track one of these posters down. As much as I liked the US 1-sheet, this one is pretty nice.

I like the way i am.
I remember once that i started reading a thread about million dollar baby, (think it was before spoilers warnings) someone made a comment about the last part of it, and how does Maggie´s life would end. All this without previos notice.

That guy ruined this film (for me)
