Pictures of a snail

Clickity click. And no, "pictures of a snail" is not a euphemism for anything weird or nasty. Just some pictures I took with my new camera. :)

edit: You can click on each image to see it larger. And once you've done that, you can download full resolution versions of them if you'd like by clicking on the "more info" option under the image.

Mmmm. Butter. Garlic. Parsley. Some nice crusty pain de campagne.

Delcious!

Seriously, though... nice photos. They are fascinating creatures, not just for their food value. :)

Honestly, are they really good? They ones I tried were kind of overpowered by the sauce so they didn't have any taste really.

That's exactly the point. Basically just an excuse to eat herbed garlic butter. :D

Phillistines!!

They are delicious! They also do them shelled and in a kind of tomato-wine sauce round where I used to live, although that takes away the pleasure of struggling bizarre instruments to eat them.

Yeah I dunno. I just had some that came in can with some sort of very strong tomato sauce (they came with the shells though). I figured it was sort of like mushrooms, something that people enjoy for the texture rather than the flavor?
