[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]Last saturday i went to see an exhibition of one of the best painters alive, a young Belgian artist called Eddy Stevens.
Nudes... symbolism... a dark twitch here and there...

Re: fantastic realism/life, a bit dark

[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue]you're very welcome :)

An other artist i'm very fond of: Johhny Beerens
The Genesis tryptich is 4 meters high and 3 wide! I saw it years ago, the hairs on the man's legs are painted with a brush that, i guess, contains only 1 or 2 hairs...
The other side of the tryptich has such incredible thick layers of paint (spikes and stones and pieces of wood and i don't know waht :) ), at least 2 inches thick, which gives total roughness to the surface, while the bodies and the seafoam and all that are painted so realistically that i couldn't believe what i was seeing.
