I'm probably like the last person on the planet to discover this album.....:rolleyes:;)
However, this is a fantastic cd and is a must have IMO.

You're All I Have and Open Your Eyes are standout tracks but I'm loving the whole thing.:cool:

Not for everyone and I half expect a shit train below. But fuck you this cd is cool.:p

I'd like to kill their singer for looking like such a trampy student cunt and for penning that asinine dirge that is Chasing Cars. Everytime I hear that song I want to hurt someone. The most awful lyrics I've ever heard. What a fucking prick.

I did half-like some of their stuff previously but their singer looks like such a cunt and Chasing Cars is so awful that I can't abide anything by them any longer.

So, in a nutshell, I don't like it.

Chasing Cars is the one song I don't like on the cd (at all) and I had never seen em before so I just googled a pic and you're right about the horrible looks...click

Cd still kicks ass otherwise.

Snow Patrol are a brilliant band. First saw them support Grandaddy years ago before they were big and then just before the Final Straw album came out. Not sure if the new album is good as other stuff but still a good listen.

aah, but i forgive them their sins as when i caught them at a festival in cardiff last summer, they said that the band that inspired them the most and, in their opinion, the best band in the world, was none other than super furry animals. so they went up in my esteem for that :)

plus they name check sufjan stevens and the track chicago on the second song on the lp. they've also worked with freelance hellraiser on their mix album the trip so i think it's a case of a band having pretty good taste in music except when it comes to their own songwriting/qualilty control :p

By this logic, we should all be given a fair crack of the being-a-pop-star whip. I mean, I like lots of great stuff, in fact, I've got fantastic taste and I could easily write something as mind-numbing and insidious as Chasing Cars. :)

what depresses me more than that particular song itself is that at the end of last year virgin radio listeners had to vote for their 3 favourite tracks of all time which were then compiled into a top 500 - hmm let's see, you can choose any song ever written from the thousands and thousands of fantastic stuff out there and yet large numbers of people obviously voted for that particular track.... as one of their 3 favourite pieces of music ever :(

hands open is good though.
