Rick on the ARP2600 (rather short part of a video)
I was just skipping thru some Synthesizer Video (advertising Arturia SoftSynths) on Youtube.
This one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aePT8bdoxaQ features a handsome Rick Smith explaining the classic ARP2600, at about 1:30 - too bad it's rather short and mostly voice-over. Anybody knows the source of that ? |

That was shot at Martin Newcombe's Museum of Synthesizer Technology, where Rick and other artists talked about some of their favourite old synths for a few minutes at the opening ceremony back in the mid 90s.
A video of the opening day was made and the narrator of both videos is the same, which is probably why this clip was used. I think the museum video is still available from here but the chances are that this clip was lifted from some 'out-takes'. http://www.vemia.co.uk/susurreal/catalogue.html |
