this one will be taken down after about 2 weeks or so. the first 7 tracks only has one part that's properly beatmatched. it's mostly songs that i've wanted to use in a mix but could never fit or match.

i originally made this last october with driving down the Pacific Coast Hwy in mind, but i was in a rush to go on that trip (the norah jones track wasnt the version i wanted to use cuz it has no beat). then about a month after i relistened to it again and figured it wasnt really that bad (for something to cruise down the hwy to). so i ended up re-recording the entire thing over (track order entirely the same, all of the transitions of the first half the same, the second half much smoother plus 3 tracks added at the end...and upped the speed a bit)

everything after depeche mode is actually version 3. i started mixing it a few days ago, got to about 7 songs in and felt meh about it (it kinda transitioned into just regular house). but then the first 5 songs was done fairly well, and i didnt want to have just a 5 song mix (i'm actually amazing myself with just that portion)

Version 2 was even weirder cuz it went more breakbeat that transitioned into old school freestyle (debbie deb "when i hear music") then to something like electrohiphop. so that got scrapped (except for the scratch massive track, but i re-recorded it with a less breaky transition)

so version 3 became more "dance". this is my most "sweaty club" sounding mix (massive overlaps...there are parts where you can tell where i was trying to re-sync the tracks). i did try to mix Ayumi Hamasaki "Prologue (Hybrid remix)" at the end, but scrapped it after an hour of not getting it to work.

I though you had mixed some tracks motivated by the sadness feeling caused by the dirty forums down sensation in your soul.... You know, something pretty much down-beat.
