the orb - orbsessions
 

for those of you who don't know, the orb are bringing out an ep of their old, unreleased stuff from over the years....stuff from the ffwd/orbert sessions, stuff from the 1989 days of lx and jimmy cauty, stuff from the cydonia sessions, etc.

looking forward to it. one confirmed track is called "mummy don't", which is a 1987 lx and jimmy track, which developed into 3am eternal by the klf....

out soon on malicious damage. also the transit kings ep hasn't left my cd player since the promo cd arrived......:D

duuuude!

keep us posted when it comes out... that seems really cool; but I thought they lost all the stuff that lead to "The White Room" ...like they technically had the re-record the whole album?

i've just heard "mummy, don't" from a special recording...it's like an early ambient 3am eternal. complete with shouts of "eternal" and stuff from films and rather cool synths.

release date is now october 3rd.
packaging is holographic, with limited vinyl pressing.

Should be interesting to hear the reallllly old stuff. Except for some of Orblivion, i've not been too keen on the Orb after "Orbvs Terrarvm". I did hear a bit of the FFWD project with Robert Fripp...not really my cup-o-tea, but one imagines the rare outtake may be way out there!

Carp...you seen this months Q mag (aug 2005)...4 page article on the KLF...most of which is repeat of other stuff...but its still interesting....its part of their 'scandal' section....

Nice. Yungle is a badass song, very DnB... worth the purchase alone.
