Lady In the Water

Proof that even the most daft of storylines can shine when told by a master storyteller.

M. Night's children are the most lucky kids in the world when it comes to getting told bedtime stories.

As said, the story is so far fetched, but then again, it's a fairy tale (no pun intnd) for adults. And who didn't enjoy fairy tales when they were a child? Don't expect a horror/suspense.

My truck was in the shop and I needed to kill some time. I had no intentions of seeing this movie, it was the only one I wouldn't have to wait 1.5 hour to see. But I have to say I'm glad I didn't miss it. M. Night's films are more/less the same pattern, but this film reminded me how great a story teller he is.

Also, could not go without mentioning the amount of intended humor throughout the film helped it tremendously. Maybe Night's ready for a change and this film showed he's capable of targeting the interesting humorous side of the ordinary human beings.
