black suit looks quite good in this. still would be better with the white chest emblem.

i've got high hopes for this because raimi is still in charge, and the other 2 were brilliant. raimi still being in charge also means the studio havent been able to force this into sooner release, a la brett ratner with x-men 3

well, there sort of was a period dealing w/ like a 'dark side' of spiderman...

when Peter Parker had the alien symbiote (black costume) - he started having intense nightmares, and he'd awaken in the middle of the city. The costume itself started controling his body, oh - and PP became like a general asshole too

and the costume would like - get anxious and angry... so, the costume was really a sentient being

but what I wonder - is how they're going to introduce the costume itself... I mean there's absolutely no way that they can use the same origin as from the comics

Yeah, cuz the comic basically had this story where they were transported to another dimension by an omnipotent version of Tom Jones.

The Ultimate Spider-man origin of the symbiote black substance was that it was grown in a lab.. which is probably what they'll use for the movie, since everything Spider-man movie related has been from a lab experiement so far and it wont be such a stretch of the imagination for movie-goers.

But yeah, no aliens in the movies.. like they removed the alien aspect of Phoneix in X-men 3. It's better this way.
