more gigs to be recorded and sold?

" Instant Live records concerts, duplicates the masters at high speed, and distributes finished CDs in as little as six minutes after a show."

They record in venues where Underworld have been performing in the past, so this might be a perfect option for next gigs :)

Sold? Hmmm.... certainly don't like the sound of that.
But if they are distributing gigs for free then yeah, why not?

so Underworld should have given away the Tokyo cd's?
This is not about fan-bootlegs, but about a regular company that makes regular recordings at the gigvenues.
Maybe next time you can read before you react

Oops. My bad. Didn't realise this was a kosher deal with this company and the actual artists. Thought it was a company making a fast buck. But yeah. Provided it is authorised by the band, why not? Their decision of course. Sorry if I offended you in any way.:)

I saw PWEI at the start of last year and walked away afterwards with a double CD of the entire show. CDs are a bit on the quiet side (plus the poppies are shit anyway) but all in all a pretty sweet idea I thought. I'm impressed at how they managed to properly mark all the tracks up as well.

Yep - I remember hearing something on radio 4 about the first classical concert that they were doing this kind of thing for too, earlier this year. It does seem like a good idea.

I've got two different sets from The Pixies that were recorded and distributed this way, and they are terrific (assuming you like The Pixies). The sound quality is stellar and having the set right after you walk out of the venue is a great feeling.

So here's hoping UW decides to give it a try! (And that they make it to the midwestern US!! :))
