Massive Attack (live in Seattle)

Hey y'all,

I'm new to the forum but happy to have found such a fresh community of electronic music lovers.

I'm headed to see Massive Attack on 4/26 at the Paramount here in Seattle and was wondering if anyone knows what to expect. I'm guessing it will be a *greatest hits* kinda thing...

I really like the music on 100th Window although I could do w/o Sinead (don't get me wrong, her first 2 solo albums are classics) so I'm really looking forward to this show however it goes...

Saw the Mezzanine tour years back at the same venue and it was truly awesome...

I'm going to see them at the Lowlands festival too, and I too am curious at how they will sound like... They can play anything, but I would especially like to hear Butterfly Caught. That would be ace!

I had no idea about this show. I might have to make the trip up from Portland.

i bet they'll be playing some sort of best of, probably "unfinished sympathy", "teardrop", "karmacoma" etc. "protection", if you're lucky and maybe the new, excellent, single "live with me".

when i saw them they played lots of stuff from the 100th Window album, but of course it was the 100th window tour...

thanks for the welcome...

I will post a full report after the show for anyone interested. I noticed that the only 2 U.S. dates (besides Cochella) are in Seattle and Denver. I wonder what the rationale for that was.

RUMOR HAS IT:

All original album vocalists will be performing with The Massive. That may be the reasoning behind the limited dates, and since they were set to play Cochella a few dates for other locations were set. My question would be why no San Fran date?

Why no San Fran, but also LA, esp. if that RUMOR turns out to have some veracity to it.

Hey grady, did you get my message?

And I'm guessing the cost to have all these artists travel to so many different locations. Then again, don't all funds received by The Massive go to various charities now??

Was it a PM? If so, I haven't got it yet.

As far as funds received by the Massive going to charities, I'm not entirely sure on that one. Time to go do some researching.
