future UW downloads in lossless?
 

i downloaded some genesis bootlegs and also did some mp3 (128 kbps) to cd comparisons with the same songs, and i was blown away. the mp3s sound so crappy and muffled compared to the full audio. i mean, i can't burn SHN and FLAC files directly to a cd, but i use this program called xAct to convert it to wav, and it's phenominal. this should be the standard for the upcoming UW downloads.

Although i think lossless would be the best option an mp3 version is still required for those people who are on 56k. But they should consider switching to a better encoder such as lame (something like -V2 --vbr-new). There is no point in using another encoder.
