i'm new here, but not new to uw @ all!

i like to know, if there's anybody in here, who maybe has the definitive lyrics to freur songs from their doot doot era (1982-1984) or can give me a link, where to find them?

well if you have on vinyl 12" / LP's to the following tracks, the lyrics are listed on the back...

the devil & the darkness - 12"
look in the back for answers - 12"
the entire 'get us out of here' LP contains the lyrics on the inner sleeve - vinyl LP
runaway - 12"
the entire 'doot doot' LP contains the lyrics on the inner sleeve - vinyl LP

i can set some up on my website at some point, but the above lyrics are all available on the vinyl versions as i own them all and have them here...

Well, I could send you a scan of both doot doot and get us out of
here inner sleeves in the future as, at the moment, my scanner
is out of order.

i'm already lucky enough to have all freur releases since "the devil & darkness" on good old vinyl!
so i have the lyrics to everything from then on, but as i've missed the original releases of "runaway" and also of "matters of the heart" as singles, i sadly don't have that lyrics ... and for "doot doot" ... well ... i've got the original cassette release without any lyrics of that album, but luckily with the "extended versions" (or "dun dif'runt" versions) of "doot doot", "matters of the heart", "hold me mother" and "you're a hoover" on it- yeah!

as for the lyrics to "doot doot" (the song) i always thought that the opening line was "once in the neon", but by now- 22 years later!- i was told that it's "what's in a name?" instead!
oh dear ... it makes me look like a complete fool by now!
sorry, but i've already changed my signature ...

anyway, here's my attempt to get the lyrics to "matters of the heart" only by listening to it ... (i'm not a native english speaker, so i'm maybe excused, if it's total rubbish!)

I have all the Freur Lps's, The Underworld MK1 ones and a few from Underworld as they are now.

Let me know what lyrics you want, and I will dig them out for you. I might even dig out/scan & post some of the Dodgy Freur Photo's I have. :D

BTW I am new here too, and it was nice to see the name Freur after all these years :eek:
