LBT, Digital Downloads and Chart Rules...?
 

any idea how many copies LBT has sold, and if so how much if any impact does it have on the UK download chart...

i tried looking up the rules on the official charts company website, and they haven't got any 'rules' as yet...so i don't know if LBT even qualifies...

but, if its sold enough would this count in a download chart, and if so have Underworld registered it, and do they care...??

just wondering, i doubt its selling as many as Madonna for example, but who knows, they may be making a dent somewhere... and what about Japan, does Japan have download charts, other than the ones on ITunes - this (JAL to Tokyo) must be selling quite well to get it to the top spot in the ITunes download chart over there...

any one official care to comment...or do i have to find out this info on Teletext somewhere ;)

I can't see them getting their knickers in a twist about this - after all, they're now in a position to do what they want, any old time.

However, given they supply the Radio1 chart, have a look here.

They list the following "official" download sites:

iTunes, Napster, MyCokeMusic, Woolworths, 7 Digital Media, Playlouder, MSN Music, Big Noise Music, HMV, Virgin, Tesco, Tiscali Music, Sonic Selector, Wanadoo, city16.com, recordstore.co.uk, KarmaDownload, Wippit, The Music Engine Service, Bleep, easyMusic

...but whether this is definitive and all-inclusive, I don't know.

I doubt it'll qaulify as its not on a mainstram download service.....
