dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
I'm no authority on vinyl to say the least, however, I've started to collect a few of my UW albums on vinyl and was wondering out of the many releases of dubno - does anyone have any idea which was the best pressing of the album? it'll help begin my hunt. Thanks! :D

Have a look here. As far as I know, only two pressings were released (the original in 1994 and a re-release in 2003). So you won't wonder too long ;)

The Simply Vinyl release was 160g afaik. probably more limited than the original release...

Re: dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
thanks stimpee. I had a feeling it would have been either you, bigscreen, or -1 to reply... ;)
Is there an advantage to 160g? I'm not sure what the standards are when it comes to vinyl - but my assumption is that the heavier the better... am I correct on that or do I stand to be corrected? Thanks! |
Re: dubnobasswithmyheadman Vinyl
stimpee - you're right - the simply vinyl release of 03 is 160g...

It's also half speed cut which improves the cutting and thus the soundquality.

Half speed, spread over 2 discs meaning the peaks and troughs are further apart and giving a louder and more rich sound too.
